Five Program Components
Health Education: The health education component covers a variety of topics surrounding healthcare, health and wellness, diet and nutrition, preventative health, diagnosis, and treatment.
Financial Literacy: The financial literacy component teaches saving, investing, insurance, bank accounts, check issuing, emergency funds, retirement accounts, budgeting, debt, loans, and overall money management.
College Preparation and Career Planning: The college preparation workshops includes the topics surrounding the college admission process, applying for scholarships, in and out of state colleges, Historically Black Colleges and Universities, graduate school, determining a major and field of study, internships, standardized testing, and success in college.
Career planning is an opportunity for students to learn more about themselves and find jobs that properly align with their interests. In career planning, students learn about entrepreneurship, applying for jobs, building a resume-building, finding your passion, being a leader, engaging in your community, and advancing within your field.
Physical Activity: The physical activity component consists of intense athletic training, exercise, gameplay, and recovery.
Behavioral, Mindfulness, and Mental Health: This portion of the program focuses on mastering mental health practices.
